12:28 - 27.10.2020

October 27, Fineko/abc.az. On 26 October President Ilham Aliyev gave an interview to Italian TV channel Rai-1.

ABC.AZ reports that touching upon a range of points, the head of state noted that the first two ceasefires were violated precisely by Armenia.

President Aliyev noted that within 24 hours after the first ceasefire was declared for humanitarian reasons, Armenia violated the ceasefire.

"Armenia violated the humanitarian ceasefire within 24 hours, and in a barbaric way, launching a ballistic missile at the city of Ganja at night. As a result of the first attack, 10 people were killed and many were injured. Then they hit Ganja again, again at night. There were more victims then. So we had to respond. As for the second ceasfire, we have a chronology of Armenia's violation of the armistice. Just two minutes after the appointed hour of the truce, they violated it. Today, from 8 am, the new ceasefire came into force. It is now 10 am in Baku. From 8 am, about 3-4 minutes later, several shells were fired again at the city of Terter. We don't respond to this. We hope it was an accident. But if this continues, of course, we will have to respond adequately," the president emphasized.
