Georgia observes a rise in prices on some foods

November 3, Fineko/abc.az. This October the consumer price index in Georgia increased by 0.8% compared with September, and the annual inflation rate made up 3.8%, ABC.AZ was informed at the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

Last month, a rise of 0.9% was recorded on prices of foods and non-alcoholic beverages.

In particular, prices for butter grew by 7.2%, vegetables by 5.3%, milk, cheese and eggs by 2.7%, while for fruits and grapes fell by 9.7%. And prices for clothing and footwear increased by 5.4%.

As for annual inflation, foods and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 5.5%, while alcoholic beverages and tobacco products rose by 9%.
