Oil cheapens after a rise the day before, and Brent is at $39.01 a barrel

November 5, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices are declining in Thursday’s trading after a significant jump in the previous session.

By 9:15 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the Brent crude futures for January fell in price by $0.81 (1.96%) to $40.42 per barrel. At the end of

trading on 4 November the January Brent futures rose by $1.52 (3.85%) up to $41.23 per barrel.

By 9:15 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI crude futures for December fell by $0.74 (1.89%) to $38.41 per barrel. At the end of trading on 4 November the December WTI futures rose by $1.49 (3.93%) to $39.15.

The data from the U.S. Department of Energy showed a decrease in country’s stocks last week by 8 million barrels to 484.4 million barrels.
