Azerbaijan imposes a ban on poultry import from Iran

February 13, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan has published a warning.
The Ministry informs that the State Veterinary Service, referring to the World Organization for Animal Health, declares that cases of bird flu infection have been registered in a range of countries.
"Avian influenza has been registered in Italy, Korea, Congo, Iraq, England, Russia, Afghanistan, China and even Iran, in particular in the border regions of Iran with Azerbaijan. In this regard, our country has imposed a ban on import of poultry products from countries where cases of infection of birds, including from Iran, were detected," the Ministry said.
