Oil declines in price, and Brent is at $42.90 a barrel

November 13, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices are falling in Friday’s trading amid the data about the growth of oil stocks in the U.S. last week.

The data from the U.S. Department of Energy released on Thursday showed an increase in oil stocks in the country for the week, ended 6 November, by 4.28 million barrels. Experts predicted an average decrease in oil stocks by 3 million barrels.

By 9:24 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the price of Brent crude futures for January fell by $0.63 (1.45%) to $42.90 per barrel. At the end of trading on 12 November the January Brent futures decreased in price by $0.27 (0.62%) to $43.53 per barrel.

By 9:24 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for December dropped in price by $0.75 (1.82%) to $40.37 per barrel. At the end of trading on 12 November the December WTI futures fell by $0.33 (0.8%) to $41.12.
