Azerbaijani natural gas to be supplied to Bulgaria as part of a large project

November 17, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani natural gas will be supplied to Bulgaria starting from 1 January 2021, ABC.AZ reports citing Energy Minister Temenujka Petkova of Bulgaria.

According to the minister, the pipes laid along the 110 km route will be welded by the end of the year, and the construction of another 20 km of the pipeline will be completed.

"The total length of the gas pipeline between Bulgaria and Greece is 182 km, including 150 km on the territory of Bulgaria. The IGB pipeline originates in the Greek city of Komotini and connects to the Bulgarian gas pipeline system near Stara Zagora. The annual technical capacity of the pipeline is 3-5 bn cu m. The total cost of the project is 220 million euro," Petkova emphasized.
