Azerbaijani population’s trade turnover has increased: 317.4 manats spent per capita for past month

November 23, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct the retail chain sold goods for AZN 31.66 bn to consumers, including foods, beverages and tobacco products for AZN 17.34 bn and non-foods for AZN 14.628 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Statistics Committee that for the past 10 months of this year the retail trade turnover decreased by 1.5% in real terms (versus the 2019 same term), including by 6.1% on nonfoods. According to the SSC, the sale of foods, beverages and tobacco products grew by 3%. Over the reporting period the average monthly retail turnover per capita reached 317.4 manats (2.9 manats more against Jan-Oct 2019).
