Georgian PM: Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line brings dynamics to region


February 19, Fineko/abc.az. Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili of Georgia made a speech at the 54th Munich Security Conference.

The Georgian PM stated that railroad Baku-Tbilisi-Kars connecting Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey has brought dynamics to the region.

"Georgia backs various strategic initiatives uniting the West and the Orient, including the Southern Transport Corridor and the Silk Road Project. Georgia is one of the initiators of the projects on development of trade between the West and the Orient through land, sea and railway routes," Kvirikashvili said.

He pointed out that the future construction of deep-water port Anaklia would serve to raising investments and improvement of welfare in the region.
