A note of protest handed over to French ambassador to Azerbaijan


December 4, Fineko/abc.az. Today, the French ambassador to Baku Zacharie Gross was summoned to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

ABC.AZ reports that at the meeting the diplomat was presented with a note of protest in connection with the resolution “On the protection of the Armenian people and Christian communities in Europe and the East” adopted on 3 December in the French National Assembly.

The French ambassador was presented with strong objections to this document, which contradicts the norms and principles of international law, the UN Charter, the Helsinki Final Act, and UN Security Council resolutions ##822, 853, 874, and 884 of 1993.

The French ambassador stated that the position of the Azerbaijani Ministry will be brought to the attention of Paris.
