Oil prices fall, and Brent crude is at $49 a barrel

December 7, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices are declining in Monday’s trading amid the continued increase in the incidence of Covid-19 in the world.

By 9:27 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the price of February Brent crude futures fell by $0.25 (0.51%) to $49.00 per barrel. At the end of trading on 4 December the Brent futures for February grew in price by $0.54 (1.11%) up to $49.25 per barrel.

By 9:27 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for January fell in price by $0.23 (0.50%) to $46.03 per barrel. At the end of trading on 4 December 4, WTI oil futures for January increased by $0.62 (1.36%) up to $46.26 per barrel.

Over the past week, Brent crude oil has risen by 2.1% and WTI by 1.6%.
