WB to allocate $400 million to Azerbaijan

December 7, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and the World Bank are developing a new project aimed at improving the railways and logistics of cargo transportation in the country.

ABC.AZ reports that this was informed by the WB representative office in Azerbaijan.

According to the Bank, the project, whose total cost is estimated at $800 million, provides for the allocation of $400 million by the WB.

"The final amount of the loan will depend on many factors and will be known only after the project is prepared. If an agreement is reached between the parties, the project will be aimed at upgrading the Baku-Northern border railway line," the Bank said.
