December 9, Fineko/abc.az. We’ve taken the first steps in connection with the reconstruction works. The first contracts have already been signed, and, as I said, we’ll work with companies from friendly countries in the territories liberated from occupation.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev made such a statement as he received a delegation from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation, led by Secretary of State Manlio Di Stefano.

The head of state stressed that the first contracts were signed with Turkish companies, and this is natural, because Turkey is a fraternal country.

"I hope that the next contracts will be signed with Italian companies, as Italy is a close friend of Azerbaijan. During the years of diplomatic relations between our countries, and especially during the war, we have witnessed your position. The visit of representatives of your country's parliament to Azerbaijan less than a month after the end of the war demonstrates our strong friendly relationships. We appreciate this gesture of solidarity and support," President Aliyev said.
