February 20, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR-AQŞ’ CEO Ramin Isayev met with the delegation led by Mohammed Shahidula Hag, Secretary-General of the Department on Legislation & Parliament under the government of Bangladesh and Energy & Mineral Resources Department’s Secretary Nazimuddin Chouduri.

SOCAR reports that at the meeting SOCAR-AQŞ and Bangladeshi company on oil exploration & production (BAPEX) signed the Memorandum of Understanding on joint participation in new oil and gas projects in the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

"The Memo was signed by CEO’s deputy for operations Eldar Yaradanguliyev and BAPEX’s general manager Islam Mohammad Novshad," SOCAR informed.

SOCAR-AQŞ won the BAPEX-announced international tender for services on drilling and construction of wells at gas fields Semutang-South-1, Begumganj-4 and Madarganj-1 in Bangladesh. SOCAR-AQŞ will drill two exploration wells and one appraisal well.
