December 11, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. starts introducing a vaccine against a new type of coronavirus.

ABC.AZ reports that U.S. has signed a contract with Pfizer and BioNTech, which sells a vaccine invented by scientists with Turkish roots Ugur Shahin and his wife Ozlem Tyurechi.

By the end of December 2020, 6.4 million doses of the vaccine will be distributed at the initial stage and be vaccinated to 3 million citizens.

The U.S. is leading currently in the number of cases of infection and death from coronavirus. According to Johns Hopkins University, over 15.58 million cases of corona infection have been detected in the U.S., and 292,091 people have died. The country is ranking the 1st in the world in both indicators. On Wednesday 3,011 Covid-19 patients died in the country.
