Oil prices rise, and Brent is at $50.32 a barrel

December 14, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices are rising in Monday’s trading amid the news about the approval of the vaccine against Covid-19 and investors’ grown optimism about the prospects for a recovery in the oil demand.

By 9:22 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the price of February Brent crude futures increased by $0.35 (0.70%) up to $50.32 per barrel. At the end of trading on 11 December theBrent futures for February fell in price by $0.28 (0.56%) to $49.97 per barrel.

By 9:22 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for January rose in price by $0.29 (0.62%) up to $46.86 per barrel. At the end of trading on 11 December the WTI oil futures for January fell by $0.21 (0.45%) to $46.57 per barrel.

Following the past week Brent grew by 1.5% and WTI by 0.7%.
