December 18, Fineko/abc.az. The joint Turkish-Russian monitoring center to supervise the compliance with the ceasefire in Karabakh will be located in Aghdam. The construction of the center is ongoing. Our generals and other personnel are ready to leave for the site of construction.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar.

“In addition, we’ve sent two detachments of the Turkish Armed Forces to mine and clean up the occupation-liberated territory. They also go through exercises and inspect the territory. In general, the ceasefire regime is observed in Karabakh. The Russians are careful in this regard. We are watching the events," he said.

Akar stressed that Armenians still remain in parts of Karabakh: "The Russians claim that if Turkish soldiers are in the places where Armenians live, there will be problems. The deployment of the Turkish military in Karabakh is a subject of negotiations between Turkey and Azerbaijan.”
