February 21, Fineko/abc.az. Tax Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has received Naveed Hassan Naqvi, World Bank’s Regional Manager for Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes reports that during the meeting the sides raised the questions relating to provision of technical support for reforming the domestic tax system.

"The Ministry held meetings and carried out assessment to identify areas in which the WB could render technical support. In particular, monitoring of tax benefits and exemptions, support in the field of transfer pricing and development of the BEPS plan (the plan to counteract the reduction of the tax base and withdrawal of profits from taxation), advanced training of tax officials and strengthening of the Ministry’s capacity, as well as support for tax policy analysis," the Ministry informed.
