Oil grows in price, and Brent is at $51.55 a barrel

December 24, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices are increasing in Thursday’s trading amid the news about decrease in oil stocks in the U.S.

According to the weekly report of the U.S. Department of Energy, last week U.S.’ oil stocks decreased by 562,000 barrels, gasoline inventories by 1.12 million barrels, and distillates by 2.33 million barrels.

By 9:32 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the price of February’s Brent crude futures grew by $0.35 (0.68%) up to $51.55 per barrel. At the end of trading on 23 December the Brent futures for February increased in price by $1.12 (2.24%) up to $51.20 per barrel.

By 9:32 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI crude futures for February rose in price by $0.29 (0.60%) up to $48.41 per barrel. At the end of trading on 23 December the WTI crude futures for February grew by $1.10 (2.34%) up to $48.12 per barrel.
