Elman Rustamov: No grounds for devaluation

December 24, Fineko/abc.az. There is a need to finance the budget deficit from more sustainable sources.

ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank’s chairman Elman Rustamov made such a statement at today's meeting of Milli Majlis.

"We forecast inflation in the range of 3-4% next year. In recent days the rumors have been spreading in the press and there are attempts to create expectations of devaluation. There are no grounds for devaluation in Azerbaijan today. I urge our population not to believe such rumors," Rustamov said.
