Oil cheapens, and Brent is at $51.14 a barrel

December 28, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades are declining in Monday’s trading amid the news about the spread of a new strain of coronavirus.

By 9:10 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the price of February’s Brent crude futures fell by $0.15 (0.29%) to $51.14 per barrel. At the end of trading on 24 December the Brent futures for February increased in price by $0.09 (0.18%) up to $51.29 per barrel.

By 9:10 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for February grew in price by $0.29 (0.60%) up to $48.41 per barrel. Following the trading on 24 December the WTI oil futures for February increased by $0.11 (0.23%) up to $48.23 per barrel.

At the end of last week, Brent crude oil fell by 1.9% and WTI by 2.1%.
