Broadcasting of some Russian TV channels suspended in Armenia

January 6, Fineko/abc.az. Some Russian TV channels have been suspended in Armenia.

ABC.AZ reports that last year Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed a law restricting the broadcasting of all foreign TV channels in the public multiplex from 1 January 2021.

According to the above-mentioned law, several Russian TV channels have been suspended from broadcasting openly in the country. It is reported that four of the five foreign channels are Russian.

Only TV channels RTR-Planeta, Kultura and Channel One TV will continue broadcasting in Armenia.
