January 7, Fineco/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev said that the search for a place for the construction of a modern international airport is underway on the territory of Lachin or Kelbajar districts.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev made such a statement at a vido format meeting, dedicated to the results of 2020.

"However, the terrain there is very difficult, and almost the entire territory is mountainous. It is difficult to find a suitable place there, but research is currently underway. Thus, a new international airport will be constructed either in Lachin or in the Kelbajar district. And the construction of the international airport in Fizuli will soon begin," the head of state emphasized.
