Entrepreneurs to be fined in these cases

Since 1 January a law came into force prohibiting entrepreneurs from importing, manufacturing, selling and issuing plastic bags up to 15 microns thick to consumers at retail, public catering and service facilities, and from 1 June - plastic tubes, forks, knives, plates and glasses intended for single use.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the appeal of the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision and Control of the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy to entrepreneurs.

Strict liability measures are provided for non-compliance with the requirements of the legislation. For such actions, officials are fined from 1,000 to 1,500 manats, and legal entities - from 3,000 to 4,000 manats with the confiscation of plastic materials that are the subject of an administrative offense.
