January 8, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Transport Agency (BNA) has organized a meeting with entrepreneurs engaged in regular passenger carriages.

ABC.AZ reports that BNA chairman of board Vusal Kerimli noted that despite the creation of correct and transparent management conditions, carriers are not active in upgrading the bus fleet.

"But, given the importance of comfort and safety of citizens, this year the bus fleet in the settlements should be upgraded without fail. And carriers that do not meet this requirement will be excluded from the bus route network. Some carriers create artificial problems in order to delay the process of upgrading buses and switching to BakıKart. Such attempts are unsuccessful, and serious measures will be taken against those who do this," Kerimli warned.
