Iran to increase oil production - 8 agreements signed

January 11, Fineko/abc.az. Eight agreements on increase of oil production in Iran have been signed.

ABC.AZ reports that eight agreements were signed between the National Oil Company of Iran and Iranian contractors within the framework of the project on the storage and increase of oil production potential, estimated at $1.2 billion.

Earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, in light of the significant reduction in Iranian exports in recent years, said that Tehran plans to sell significantly more than 2.3 million barrels of oil per day in 2021.

This figure reflects the situation that preceded the entry into force of US sanctions.
