Reconstruction of small hydroelectric power plants starts in Sugovushan


January 12, Fineko/abc.az. Work has begun on the overhaul of small hydroelectric power plants Sugovushan-1 and Sugovushan-2 with total capacity of 7.8 MW in the occupation-liberated territories.

Azerenerji informs that completion of the work is scheduled for the coming months.

"At the same time, the stations were severely damaged during the fighting during the liberation of the territories from occupation. Therefore, machine rooms, the building of control center, panels, equipment, transformers of voltage and current of the substation on small hydropower plants Sugovushan-1 and Sugovushan-2 are repaired or replaced with new facilities," Azerenerji reports.

Upon completion of the work, electricity will be supplied first to the surrounding districts, including the Sugovushan and Talish villages, and then to other directions through the newly-created power transmission lines of the distribution network.
