Georgia-based sugar factory of Azerbaijan suspends operating

January 13, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan-invested sugar factory Aqara, operating in Georgia, has again suspended production.

ABC.AZ reports that this is linked with the fact that the grace period given by the Georgian government to the enterprise to stimulate the production expired at the end of last year.

Aqara stated that manufacture is currently unprofitable and is negotiating with the Georgian government about the extension of the benefits. If the negotiations are successful, Aqara will resume sugar production.
