January 15, Fineko/abc.az. The European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) has invested EUR 11 bn for 411 projects in 38 member countries within the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the EBRD, one of the main reasons for Bank’s 10% increase in investments (compared with 2019) is the need for more financial assistance to enterprises in member countries in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The bank has allocated EUR 3.3 bn to businesses within its trade finance program alone.

As for the region of Eastern Europe & the Caucasus, where Azerbaijan is located, EBRD investments have decreased here. In 2020, the Bank invested EUR 1.93 bn in this region (by 6.3% less versus 2019).
