Customs Committee bans import of some plastic products

January 19, Fineko/abc.az. Under current law, from 1 January 2021 Azerbaijan is to prohibit for the entrepreneurs to manufacture and import plastic bags with thickness up to 15 microns, and from 1 July – plastic forks, spoons, knives, sticks for mixing, plates and cups designed for single use and their sale to the consumer, catering facilities, trade and other service enterprises, as well as their use in the service.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).

"Appropriate measures will be taken against legal entities and individuals who violate the requirements of the law," the report says.
