January 19, Fineko/abc.az. The snow that fell during the night formed a snow cover in the mountainous and foothill districts of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the National Hydrometeorological Service that the highest snow cover (up to 40 cm) was observed in the mountainous areas of Gakh district.

The height of snow cover in Sheki, Gedabek, Goygol, Dashkesan, Oguz, Sheki, Guba, Altiagaj, Ordubad, Gabala, and Gusar is 2-15 cm.

According to the Service, snow and sleet are expected in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on 20 January: "At night, the temperature will approach 0 degrees. On the night of January 20-21 and January 21-22, the air temperature in the capital will be from 0 to minus 2 degrees."
