January 22, Fineko/abc.az. UK ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp has congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the victory in the Patriotic War.

ABC.AZ reports that he sounded his congratulation in the 22 January meeting with Azerbaijani Defence Minister Col-Gen Zakir Hasanov.

During the meeting the UK diplomat stressed that he will continue to make every effort in the development of Azerbaijani-British relationships, in particular in the cooperation in the military sphere. He emphasized that within the framework of bilateral cooperation, Great Britain can provide assistance to Azerbaijan in carrying out work on clearance of the territories of mines and unexploded ordnance.
