10 km of Azerbaijan's railway tracks on border with Iran to be upgraded

January 25, Fineko/abc.az. The construction of a railway terminal in Parsabad district of northwestern Iranian province Ardabil is to begin soon, ABC.AZ reports citing province’s governor Akbar Behnamju.

He noted that the agreement on the terminal construction was signed in Tehran at the 14th meeting of the Azerbaijani-Iranian State Commission for Cooperation in the Economic, Trade and Humanitarian Spheres.

Behnamju added that a map has been prepared and studies of the first 25 km of Ardabil-Parsabad railway tracks have been carried out: "10 km of the Azerbaijan railroad will be upgraded and a new 5 km railway line will be laid."
