January 26, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan will announce on 29 January this year’s first interest rate decision in accordance with the schedule of the publication of its decisions on monetary policy for 2021.

ABC.AZ reports that at the last meeting on 18 December 2020 the CBA’s board decided to reduce the discount rate from 6.5% to 6.25%.

The lower level of the interest rate corridor was set at 5.75%, while the upper level at 6.75%.

Further decisions on the parameters of the interest rate corridor will be made with taking into account the consequences of the pandemic, the pace of economic recovery, and the probability of internal and external risks.
