January 26, Fineko/abc.az. It is necessary to ensure transparency and efficiency of public procurement. Purchases at inflated prices should be strongly discouraged. Special attention should be paid to the holding of tenders.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned issues were raised at the 25 January Cabinet Ministers’ meeting chaired by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.

The Cabinet members focused on the questions of the necessity to encourage private investments in priority spheres, analyze the efficiency of public investment projects, strengthen antitrust policy, prevent cases of unfair competition, particularly price increases on the consumer market, support further the small and medium business, and broaden the export opportunities.
