Central Bank sold $61.8 million to banks at a currency auction

January 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has held a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

The CBA reports that $61.8 million was sold to banks at the auction on 28 January.

"The demand from banks at the currency auction amounted to $61.8 million and was fully met," the CBA said in a statement.

At the end of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate was AZN 1.70 to the US dollar.
