Baku Slavic University’s employee suspected of embezzling student tuition fees


January 28, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani university’s department head is accused of embezzling money belonging to students.

ABC.AZ reports that Associate Professor Durdana Aliyeva, the head of the Department of Additional & Distance Education at the Baku Slavic University, embezzled 1,000 – 7,000 manats paid more than by 100 students as tuition fees.

After the incident, the department head was dismissed.

The law enforcement agencies confirmed the fact, noting that the case is currently under investigation.
