Azerbaijan did not allow sale of Iranian salt

February 10, Fineko/abc.az. Inspectors of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA) inspected 49.8 tons of salt products imported from Iran to Azerbaijan by individual Zabil Iskenderov.

ABC.AZ was informed at AQTA that as a result of the conducted examinations, it was established that the mass fraction of iodine in salt products does not meet the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts.

The Agency made a decision that the products were unsuitable for consumption, and did not allow the sale of the batch of goods. Currently, appropriate measures are being taken within the framework of the requirements of the legislation.
