AQTA imposes a ban on sale of chicken meat from Belarus

February 10, Fineko/abc.az. The inspectors of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA) inspected 19.9 tons of frozen chicken imported from Belarus by Caspian Catering Supply LLC.

ABC.AZ was informed at AQTA that samples taken from the products were sent to the lab of the Institute of Food Safety for appropriate analyses. As a result of the examination, salmonella was detected in a batch of frozen chicken weighing 2.5 tons, produced on 15 December 2020.

The Agency prevented the inclusion of products unsuitable for consumption in the retail network.
