Number of employment contracts grew by 10% in 2020

February 16, Fineko/abc.az. The work carried out in the direction of increasing employment opportunities and legalizing labor relations in Azerbaijan has led to an increase in the number of labor contracts by 30% over the past 3 years.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection that the number of employment contracts increased by 393,000 ones (versus early 2018) and reached 1.703 million ones from 1 January 2021.

The growth of employment contracts in the private sector made up 63% and in the public sector 10%.

In 2020 alone, an increase in the number of employment contracts was recorded by 149,000, or by 10%.
