February 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan has carried out quite extensive work on the creation of additional stocks of a range of products in Azerbaijan that correspond to the category of basic food products.

ABC.AZ informs that the above-said statement was made by Mammad Abbasbeyli, deputy head of the State Service for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision under the Economy Ministry.

According to Abbasbeyli, as a result of these works, the category of basic foods was determined: "Meetings were held in the country with importers of basic food products. The volume of their commercial stocks has been established. Each importer can store their food stocks for two months. Nevertheless, in order to avoid the consequences of the pandemic, the MoE sent a proposal to all economic entities to increase reserves, and in return the State will give affordable loans to them. This process continues today.
