Turkey's economy has increased – report for 2020

March 1, Fineko/abc.az. The value of the GDP produced in Turkey in 2020 increased by 1.8% against 2019, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the report of the Statistical Office of Turkey (TUIC).

The document also says that in the 4th quarter of last year the country's economy grew by 5.9% compared with 2019 and by 1.7% against the previous quarter.

In 2020, Turkey recorded an increase in agriculture by 4.8%, industrial sector by 2%, and the construction and services sectors declined by 3.5% and 4.3%, respectively.

Last year, the investments in the Turkish economy grew by 6.5% compared with the previous year.

In 2020, household spending in the country increased by 3.2%, including consumption spending by 2.3%.
