March 29, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from April the population with an official residence permit in the cities of Baku and Sumgait, in Absheron district will be able to use 2,550 medical services included in the package of compulsory medical insurance services.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Mandatory Medical Insurance Agency that for this purpose, preparatory work is underway in the state medical institutions that will operate in the specified territories within the framework of the CMI.

"In medical institutions work is carried out to improve the system of compulsory health insurance, which serves to increase the financial capacity of healthcare. In accordance with international rules, outpatient services will be provided in polyclinics. For this purpose, inpatient departments of hospitals, the personnel providing outpatient services are transferred to polyclinics. This will lead to an increase in the quality of medical services rendered to the population," the report says.
