March 30, Fineko/abc.az. South Korean company Hyundai Motor will suspend the operation of the Ioniq 5 electric car assembly plant located in Ulsan for a week due to shortage of microchips.
ABC.AZ reports that in connection with the termination of supplies of semiconductors and other components, the company plans to suspend production from 7 April to 14 April.
The temporary suspension of operations will lead to reduction in the production of 6,500 Ioniq 5 electric cars and 6,000 Kona cars.
