Azerbaijan's balance of payments deficit is about $2 bn

March 31, Fineko/abc.az. The deficit of $1.987 bn was formed in the balance of payments of Azerbaijan in 2020.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in Azerbaijan’s balance of payments for the past year.

The report says that there was surplus of $5.142 bn in 2019.

It was noted that under conditions of unfavorable external environment the current account balance, the main component of the balance of payments in 2020 was the current account balance, close to the equilibrium one.

The current account balance was affected by changes in the main export prices.
