March 31, Fineko/abc.az. A meeting has been held between the World Bank's Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Sebastian Molineus, and the Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Elman Rustamov.

ABC.AZ reports that the meeting was also attended by the head of the World Bank's office in the country, Sarah Michael.

During the meeting Rustamov stressed the importance of long-term cooperation between Azerbaijan and the WB in the socio-economic development of the country.

He spoke about the current economic situation in the country, including the work done in the financial sector.

In his turn, Mr. Molineus underlined the high level of cooperation between the WB and Azerbaijan, noting that 2020 successfully ended from angle of the implemented reforms and the fight against the emerging threats to the country's economy.
