April 6, Fineko/abc.az. "The use of vaccine AstraZeneca against a new type of coronavirus in Azerbaijan has not yet begun."

ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Health Minister Viktor Gasimov, commenting on the statement of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), that the formation of blood clots in the blood of some vaccinated with AstraZeneca was associated with the use of the drug.

Noting that they strive to provide citizens with a high-quality and safe vaccine, Gasimov noted that the issue of the vaccine is regulated by the World Health Organization worldwide: "No one makes arbitrary decisions."

It should be noted that on 4 April 84,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine (Vaxzevria), owned by AstraZeneca, were imported in Azerbaijan from Korea. The EMA has concluded that serious blood clots observed in the blood of vaccinated patients are associated with the vaccine.
