April 8, Fineko/abc.az. 54% of teachers and technical staff over 50 years old in Baku, 69% in Sumgayit, 60% in Absheron and 50% in other districts of the country were vaccinated against coronavirus.

ABC.AZ reports that Education Minister Emin Amrullayev made the relevant statement on 7 April on the air of program Hədəf, broadcast on TV channel AZTV.

The minister noted that these figures are updated every day.

According to Amrullayev, if more than 85% of the staff of any school has passed the vaccination process, we can in some sense consider this educational institution a safe school.

"I am confident that if 80-90% of teachers and technical staff across the entire field of education are vaccinated, we will be able to return to traditional education undre these conditions on 15 September. Otherwise, a pandemic with tightened quarantine and waves of infections will continue for a long time. Therefore, the most effective method is vaccination," the minister said.
