Night train traffic may resume on North Caucasus Railway

April 8, Fineko/abc.az. Dagestan can provide night train traffic.

ABC.AZ reports that the Ministry of Transport & Road Management of Dagestan sent an appeal to the Cabinet Ministers of the Republic.

It should be noted that the night movement of trains on the North Caucasus Railway from Kalmykia to Dagestan and from there to the Russian-Azerbaijani border was stopped 10 years ago after a series of terrorist attacks. Currently, the government of Dagestan guarantees the safety of night train traffic.

Stopping traffic at night makes it difficult to release transit trains, transport cargo to seaports, as well as the movement of passenger trains.
