Georgia's foreign trade turnover has deficit of over $1 bn

April 13, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of this year Georgia conducted trade operations with foreign countries for $2.773 bn (0.3% less versus Q1 of 2020), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the report of the Office of National Statistics of Georgia.

According to the reports, over Jan-Mar 2021 the value of the neighboring country's exports increased by 5.3% up to $821.1 million, while the value of imports decreased by 2.4% to $1.95 bn.

The deficit of $1.13 bn was formed in foreign trade eventually, and its share in the total trade turnover made up 40.8%.
