April 14, Fineko/abc.az. About 1,300 Belarusian tractors are to be assembled at the Ganja Automobile Plant in 2021.

ABC.AZ reports that Belarusian ambassador to Azerbaijan Andrey Ravkov stated this to journalists.

The ambassador called the assembly production of Belarusian equipment in the city of Ganja one of the foundations of the export potential. Since 2007, the Ganja Automobile Plant has assembled more than 11,500 Belarusian tractors, as well as about 3,500 tractors MAZ, AMKODOR, Belkommunmash and Gomselmash. The diplomat stressed that both countries are interested in the development of industrial cooperation.

"275 MTZ tractor sets have already been purchased for 2021, and they are in assembly. In March, a contract was signed for the supply of 450 tractor sets. And now it is planned to sign a contract for 550 tractor sets. In total, this makes 1,275 tractor sets a year. In principle, a good amount," Ravkov said.

Work is underway over the idea of entering the Turkish market with the help of jointly assembled equipment.
